An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed by Pittsburgh Police officers in the city’s Greenfield neighborhood.
The deadly police shooting happened at a home along Murray Avenue just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday night.Â
Allegheny County Police said that Pittsburgh Police officers were called to a domestic disturbance and when they entered the home, they were confronted by a man inside a stairwell who was armed with a knife.Â

Police said two officers then fired their weapons and critically wounded the man, who was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.Â
No officers were injured during the shooting, a Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson said.  Â
Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit are leading the investigation into the deadly police shooting.
