The architect behind some southeast Wisconsin landmarks has died. David Kahler was a longtime leader at Milwaukee-based architecture firm Kahler Slater. According to Kahler Slater, one of Kahler’s early influential works was the Golda Meir Library at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He also led a restoration of the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison from 1991-2002. 12 News’ partners at BizTimes Milwaukee also said Kahler’s firm worked on several projects at the Milwaukee Art Museum, including the Bradley Wing addition in 1975. Kahler was 89 years old.

The architect behind some southeast Wisconsin landmarks has died.
David Kahler was a longtime leader at Milwaukee-based architecture firm Kahler Slater.
