TBR Football can exclusively confirm the latest developments around Alexander Isak amid Liverpool’s interest in the Newcastle United striker.
Liverpool recently made an opening bid for Isak, which was swiftly rejected by Newcastle, and a stand-off has ensued between Isak and the Magpies.
There have been reports claiming Isak was ordered to train separately from his Newcastle teammates on Wednesday.
TBR Football can also confirm who Newcastle are looking at to replace Isak if he does leave St James’ Park this summer.

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Alexander Isak has indeed been told to train on his own at Newcastle.
However, Isak’s people are also saying he is not looking to train with the first-team at this point, as he sees his future away from the club.
We understand that Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson and Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins remain firmly in Eddie Howe’s thoughts as targets.
Both are a similar price but, as we know, Aston Villa are also looking at Jackson.

Other strikers on Newcastle radar
In addition, Lois Openda, Samu Aghehowa, Evanilson and Rodrigo Muniz are also in the picture.
Openda plies his trade for RB Leipzig, while Samu has been impressing for Porto.
Fans will likely be more familiar with Evanilson and Muniz, who play for Bournemouth and Fulham respectively.
“Newcastle are working on the striker situation,” Bailey exclusively told TBR Football.
“They already know the market. They are not going back to the drawing board.
“Jackson and Watkins are appreciated by Howe. He likes those two.
“There is also the likes of Openda, Samu and could we see Evanilson or Muniz be in the conversation? They have been mentioned.
“They are assessing it but I am told they are holding talks.
“The club know Isak still wants out and they are working on replacing him.
“If and when Wissa arrives, he is seen at the Callum Wilson replacement.”
