FAYETTEVILLE — For the second straight season, the University of Arkansas men’s basketball team will open its SEC schedule against Tennessee. This time, the Hogs will host the Volunteers at Walton Arena on Jan. 3, 2026.

The full SEC schedule was announced Wednesday, while tipoff times and television info will be released at a later date.

Tennessee is the first of six Sweet 16 teams from last season the Razorbacks will face. They’ll start with three in a row. The others are: at Ole Miss on Jan. 6 or 7, at Auburn on Jan. 10, Kentucky on Jan. 31, at Alabama on Feb. 17 or 18 and at defending national champion Florida on Feb 28.

Arkansas will replay Auburn at home Feb. 14.

Home games with Tennessee, Kentucky and Auburn will all be on Saturdays. Last season, Arkansas lost on the road to the Vols 76-52,and to Auburn 67-60when both schools were ranked No. 1 in the nation. In between, the Hogs beat Kentucky 89-79 in Arkansas Coach John Calipari’s return to Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky.

Arkansas went 22-14 in Calipari’s first season and 8-10 in conference play, hindered by injuries to players no longer on the roster. The Hogs return DJ Wagner, Karter Knox, Trevon Brazile and Billy Richmond, while adding freshmen Darius Acuff Jr., Meleek Thomas and Isaiah Sealy, and transfer forwards Nick Pringle and Malique Ewin.

The SEC Tournament is scheduled for March 11-15 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. Last season, the Hogs were eliminated in their second game of the tournament by Ole Miss 83-80. That came before the Razorbacks’ run to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament as a No. 10 seed.

Arkansas will play SEC home-and-homes with Auburn, LSU and Missouri. The Razorbacks will host LSU on Jan. 24 and visit the Tigers on Feb. 10 or 11. They’ll host Missouri on Feb. 21 and visit it March 7 to close out the regular season.

The Hogs will be aiming to break a three-season run of collecting only single-digit SEC wins. They won 13 games in 2021 and 2022.
