The Washington Mystics lost 76-64 to the Chicago Sky on Tuesday night on the road. The loss drops them to 13-16 and is a rare disappointing loss to one of the WNBA’s bottom-tier teams in the 2025 season.

You know that we are celebrating our return after a “state-mandated” one-day exile where we missed some big news with the Mystics in particular. First, we missed the real-time news regarding the trade of Brittney Sykes to the Seattle Storm. And for the first time since 2017, we couldn’t write about a Mystics game recap on the day of the game itself.

Makes me feel like Missy Elliott in Lil’ Kim’s “Not Tonight” Remix from back in 1997. I’ll just show her verse below which is NSFW to say the least.

So yeah, I have some words and don’t want our site to just be … singing hooks in the form of X, Facebook, BlueSky Social and Threads posts. So here are they are in my witty style.

The Mystics won’t get a break with the competition in their next game. They play the Minnesota Lynx tomorrow on the road at 7:30 p.m. ET. Let’s just say that Minnesota is playing just like they were during their heyday in the 2010s. We’ll preview that separately.
