ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Mission Hospital is investing more than $10 million in pay increases for most of its full-time, part-time and PRN staff, Mission Health announced.
According to a press release, the pay raises are separate from and larger than the standard annual merit increases provided yearly to eligible employees.

“These increases reflect HCA Healthcare’s ongoing commitment to investing in our people and ensuring Mission Hospital remains a place where colleagues feel valued and supported,” Mission Health president Greg Lowe said in the press release. “Across the country, healthcare organizations are facing workforce challenges, and we are actively taking steps to recruit and retain the talented caregivers our community depends on.”
The pay increases for Mission Hospital went into effect on May 17, benefiting a broad range of roles, including clinical and non-clinical positions, Mission Health said.
