A boil water advisory is in effect Tuesday for a portion of New Orleans East after a fire hydrant was hit near Stonewood Street and Partridge Lane, according to the Sewerage & Water Board.
Residents in parts of the Little Woods neighborhood were being asked to use bottled or boiled tap water until water quality testing is completed.
The boil water advisory includes the following streets:
Hayne Boulevard from Paris Road to Bullard Avenue
Bullard Avenue from Hayne Boulevard to Morrison Road
Morrison Road from Bullard Avenue to Paris Road
Paris Road from Morrison Road to Hayne Boulevard
S&WB crews were at the scene working to isolate the break, officials said.
