The New Orleans Police Department is investigating an alleged kidnapping in Algiers, where the victim escaped after being forced into a vehicle.
NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating an alleged kidnapping involving a boy that happened Tuesday evening in Algiers.
According to police, the incident happened around 5:06 p.m. near Farragut Street and Lawrence Street.
Investigators said the victim was walking home when two unknown white males allegedly placed a bag over the victim’s head and forced the victim into a vehicle.
The suspects drove the boy to an unknown location, where the victim managed to break a window and escape.
After escaping, the boy then ran to safety and flagged down a police officer for help.
No other information about the suspects or vehicle is available at this time.
NOPD says the investigation remains active and ongoing.
