GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — Munson Healthcare announced its new President of Munson Medical Center.

Laura Glenn, Munson Healthcare chief operating officer, announced Thursday, May 21, that Joe Du Lac has been appointed president of Munson Medical Center.

Du Lac was appointed after a nationwide search and rigorous process that identified him as the best leader to take on the role and guide Munson into its next chapter. He will step into the role on June 22.

Munson said that Du Lac brings over two decades of leadership experience across complex healthcare systems, has a strong track record of improving quality, safety, patient experience and operational performance.

According to Munson, Du Lac previously held an executive leadership role with Trinity Health of New England, where he helped lead a multi-hospital turnaround.

Du Lac also previously worked at the Detroit Medical Center, where he supported systemwide operational transformation.
