After withdrawing from the 2025 WNBA Draft, UCLA senior center Lauren Betts will enter her final season in college with high expectations. Following a Final Four loss to the UConn Huskies in the NCAA national tournament, Betts and the Bruins women’s basketball team have unfinished business.
Besides trying to get back at Geno Auriemma and the Huskies, they’ll face off against the JuJu Watkins-led USC Trojans in their quest for that national college basketball championship.
Betts, who comes from averaging 20.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.9 blocks per game and shooting 64.8% from the field and 62% from the free-throw line, is motivated to give her 100% for a Bruins squad that was close to making it to the big game. Betts will take on this season after signing a major NIL deal to become a jewelry brand ambassador.
Lauren Betts announced NIL deal with jewelry brand on social media
Lauren Betts took to Instagram to announce her brand-new deal with jewelry brand Gorjana. She shared a series of photos and a clip, which included a childhood picture and a caption to prepare fans about what’s coming for her collegiate career.
“I grew a lot as a leader last season, and I’m looking forward to bringing that same standard and level of play to my senior season,” Betts said.
After spending her freshman season at Stanford, Betts joined UCLA, where she unlocked her potential. With another impressive season from the center, the Bruins would be a serious threat to the Huskies.
