Sidney Crosby has officially announced a major decision regarding his NHL future at the age of 38.
The captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins made it very clear that he is absolutely not considering retirement despite his advanced age.
Gino Hard shared the information on social media.
“Sidney Crosby is making it clear retirement is NOT something he’s thinking about, despite entering the final year of his contract at 39 years old.
He says he wants to keep playing ‘for as many years as possible'”
A statement that shows all the passion still driving the Penguins captain.
But what is unexpected here?
Well, Crosby also mentioned that he would take small one-year contracts for the remainder of his career.
And that is very interesting!

Crosby is entering the official final year of his current contract with the Penguins.
The captain will turn 39 years old next season. And many analysts had long been speculating about his potential retirement.
