LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas will again host the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2027, with the show returning to the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the second straight year.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena is set to undergo renovations to replace all 13,500 seats, but the project is not expected to interfere with the arena’s show schedule.

The Rio is also bringing live entertainment back to its Masquerade Village event space. The first show is scheduled for 9 p.m. Saturday, led by Danny “The Count” Coker’s Count 77 Rock Band.

Outside the U.S., the next Sphere location has been announced for Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The venue is expected to open in 2029 and will be the first Sphere outside of the United States. It is planned to be similar in size and scale to the Las Vegas Sphere, with a 20,000 capacity, and is expected to host custom-designed productions, headlining residencies and sporting events.

The Abu Dhabi Sphere will be followed by a smaller Sphere planned to open in National Harbor near Washington, D.C., in 2030.
