Brooks Koepka continues to trend in the right direction during his return season to the PGA Tour after leaving LIV Golf.
On Sunday at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, Koepka finished tied for 14th at 18-under par, shooting 69 or better in all four rounds, including an opening-round 63 on Thursday.

While he has yet to secure a victory through his first 11 PGA Tour events this season, Koepka remained highly competitive and appears to be rounding back into form.
However, despite the momentum, Koepka withdrew from this week’s Charles Schwab Challenge in Texas just hours after Sunday’s final round concluded.

Koepka is still dealing with part of the fallout from leaving the PGA Tour for LIV Golf and later returning, which includes being ineligible for the PGA Tour’s signature events this season. As a result, he has primarily competed in secondary-tier tournaments.

In addition to his T-14 finish this weekend, Koepka also recorded a T-11 finish at the Myrtle Beach Classic earlier this month and made the cut at the PGA Championship.

With the U.S. Open approaching next month, Koepka has seemingly decided it would be best to take some time off — especially considering he is not eligible to compete in next week’s Memorial Tournament — as he prepares to chase the sixth major championship victory of his career.
