SIUE’s Plein Air Landscape Painting class took over City Park on the morning of May 26.
John DenHouter, who has been teaching at SIUE for decades, leads the three-week intensive course. The students have created paintings in outdoor areas all over the metro area. According to DenHouter, each student completes one or two full paintings at each session.
Students used a variety of painting media, including oils and watercolor.
