ATLANTA – Birmingham Legion FC defender Ramiz Hamouda and Charleston Battery forward Colton Swan were called up on Thursday to the U.S. Under-19 Men’s National Team as Head Coach Gonzalo Segares named a 24-player roster for the squad’s domestic training camp to be held between June 1-9 at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center.

During the camp, the U-19 MNT will face Japan on Tuesday, June 9 at the National Training Center as the team continues its preparation for this summer’s Concacaf U-20 Championship, which serves as qualification for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. ET.

Hamouda earns his first call-up to the United States U-19s having previously competed this year for the U-18s at the 2026 Torneio Internacional de Lisboa in Portugal in March. One of five players born in 2008 selected to the squad, Hamouda has recorded 36 appearances and logged 2,012 minutes in the USL Championship for Legion since signing for the club prior to the 2024 season.

This season, the 18-year-old has been a key piece for Legion on the back line, ranking second on the team with 384 completed passes at an 86.8% accuracy rate while winning 33 duels at a 63.5% success rate and 36 clearances.

Swan joins the United States U-19s after a successful stint with the United States U-20s earlier this year that saw him record a goal and assist in a 3-0 victory against Argentina in March. The 18-year-old has had a standout first campaign since joining the Battery out of Indiana University this offseason, recording four goals in in 474 minutes across the USL Championship and Prinx Tires USL Cup while recording 14 shots and seven shots on target.

Hamouda and Swan are joined in the squad by defender Braden Dunham, who has joined USL League Two club Swarm FC this summer after completing his freshman season at Furman University.
