MarginEdge has expanded its AI capabilities with the launch of new tools focusing on sales forecasting and recipe development for the restaurant sector.

Operators in the industry often contend with variable sales patterns, changing costs and menu adjustments, which complicate their planning processes.

To address these issues, MarginEdge has created an AI-driven sales forecasting tool aimed at providing operators with timely insights to improve their planning accuracy and operational efficiency.

Since the introduction of its AI-based invoice processing system in 2015, MarginEdge has been a key player in the application of AI within restaurant management.

The company is continuing to invest in this tech, with additional tools under development and expected to be released soon.

The newly launched AI tools feature capabilities such as detailed forecasting, self-learning mechanisms, improved planning precision, faster invoice processing and AI designed to facilitate communication with culinary professionals.

MarginEdge co-founder and CEO Bo Davis stated: “After 20 years of running restaurants, I know firsthand how hard it is to plan when sales shift daily. You’re making decisions about purchasing, labour and menus with a lot of guesswork.

“What excites me most about these new AI tools is how they take the uncertainty out of the numbers. We’re using AI to give operators real-time cost insights, accurate sales forecasts and recipe tools so intuitive that chefs can build and update on the fly – no tech skills required.

“This is about making restaurant life easier, more responsive and a whole lot less reactive.”

Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken, a customer of MarginEdge, has been using the tools since before the introduction and has observed gains across its more than 20 locations in the US.

“MarginEdge enhances AI offerings to improve restaurant operations” was originally created and published by Verdict Food Service, a GlobalData owned brand.
