SHELBY COUNTY, Iowa (WOWT) – An Iowa man is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV north of Harlan.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened just before 3 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of County Road F32 and Highway 59.
An initial investigation showed that a 2017 Chevy Equinox and a motorcycle crashed. The driver of the motorcycle, 63-year-old Francis Rueschenberg, died from his injuries.
Rueschenberg was from Westphalia, Iowa.
Investigators found that the Equinox was north on Highway 59 and about to turn west onto the County Road at the time of the crash. The motorcycle was driving south on the highway.
