SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Students are sharpening their art skills as they experiment with watercolors at the Howard Park Event Center.
The eight-week summer art class has students creating projects that use color and texture to make expressive works. The course is taught by Cheryl Brezinski, an expert artist and instructor who is well known in the arts community.
Students learn the basics of watercolor, including shading and brush technique.
“It’s very relaxing. There is not a lot of stress,” said Cindy Tomaszewski, a student in the class. “Watercolor is very easy to work with. Anybody who tries it I think would enjoy it. It’s very forgiving, and you don’t have a lot into it because you’re only painting on paper.”
