On Saturday, Sandler ate at Original Joe’s in Daly City’s Westlake neighborhood, and on Monday, he visited both Little Original Joe’s (Original Joe’s more casual offshoot) in the Marina District and Original Joe’s in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood. But he hadn’t had his fill of pizza and pasta yet: On Tuesday, the famous actor returned to Little Original Joe’s for one more meal, an Original Joe’s press representative told SFGATE.

Both the Original Joe’s in North Beach and the Original Joe’s in Daly City shared photos and videos on Instagram of Sandler posing with employees and waving to patrons in his signature baggy sweatshirt and basketball shorts. Little Original Joe’s in the Marina also shared photos of Sandler holding a pizza box and posing for more photos.

While Original Joe’s co-owner Elena Duggan declined to divulge what Sandler ordered to protect his privacy, she shared the following statement with SFGATE.

“It was such a pleasure to welcome Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie during their recent visits to Original Joe’s in Westlake and North Beach and Little Original Joe’s in the Marina,” Duggan wrote in an email. “As warm and genuine as you’d expect, Adam was a gracious and down-to-earth guest who made the experience truly special for our team.”

Sandler is currently shooting a psychological drama called “Time Out,” directed by Scott Cooper and based on the French film “L’Emploi du temps.” The San Francisco Film Commission confirmed to SFGATE that the movie was shooting in San Francisco. Sandler visited Everyday SFC skate shop in Union Square, and he also attended a Golden State Valkyries game on Sunday.

“The opportunity to host one of the most beloved actors and comedians of our generation is not something we take lightly, and we are incredibly grateful he chose to dine with us several times while in San Francisco,” Duggan’s statement continued. “He’s always got a seat at Joe’s anytime he’s in town.”

Original Joe’s dates back to 1937 and is known as one of San Francisco’s premier special occasion restaurants. Besides the flagship North Beach location, the Daly City eatery and Little Original Joe’s in the Marina, the family behind Original Joe’s also owns a Walnut Creek restaurant, a second Little Original Joe’s in the West Portal neighborhood and Elena’s Mexican Restaurant.
