Videos recorded at a rural north-central Arkansas home are drawing attention after showing numerous snakes gathered around the property.Century 21 Realtor Christopher White said he discovered the snakes while showing the home to a prospective buyer. White recorded video footage showing a snake attempting to enter through the home’s front door while several others were seen hanging from electrical conduit near the power meter.

Additional footage showed a snake moving through a partially dismantled outdoor breaker box.

According to White, the home is vacant and the electricity has been disconnected.

The snakes were identified as black rat snakes, a non-venomous species common in Arkansas. Black rat snakes primarily feed on rodents and other small animals and are often considered beneficial because they help control pest populations.

According to the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Extension Service publication “Snakes of Arkansas,” state law prohibits the indiscriminate killing of snakes for sport or other reasons.

The videos have since gone viral on social media, generating thousands of views and reactions.
