There are a handful of WNBA games on Friday, Aug. 8 and one of those matchups involves the Minnesota Lynx hosting the Washington Mystics at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on ION. Fans looking to watch this WNBA game can do so for free by using DIRECTV, which offers a free trial. FuboTV offers up to $30 off your first month. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but has promotional offers available.

This is the third and final regular season meeting between these squads with the the most recent coming more than a month ago. The Lynx picked up a 92-75 home win in early July to even the season series.

The Lynx are still without MVP favorite Napheesa Collier, who is nursing an ankle injury that will likely have her out for close to another two weeks. However the team will look to get a boost from new trade acquisition DiJonai Carrington who went for 13 points on five-for-seven shooting with two steals in her Lynx debut, a 91-87 road win over the Seattle Storm.

The Mystics recently traded forward Aaliyah Edwards for guard Jacy Sheldon of the Connecticut Sun, but Sheldon isn’t expected to play. Prior to that, Washington moved All-Star guard Brittney Sykes to the Storm. The squad will lean on rookies Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron along with Shakira Austin and Sug Sutton as they try to halt a three-game losing streak that has the team at 13-16, 10th in the league standings, one game behind the Golden State Valkyries for the final playoff spot.

The Lynx still own the league’s best record at 25-5 and are riding a three-game winning streak entering this matchup.
