MITCHELL COUNTY, Kan. — The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to a rural part of the county late Thursday night after receiving a report of a missing two-year-old boy.
The sheriff’s office says the call came from an area northwest of Beloit in the 2100 block of 290th road. Multiple agencies were called in to assist with the search.
Authorities say the child was found unresponsive in a water-filled creek near his home just after 1:30 a.m. Friday.
12 News has reached out to the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office for an update on the child’s condition, and is awaiting an update.
