If the Hurricanes thought they could stand pat with a 3-1 lead, the second period proved that would not be the case. Vegas tied the game with a pair of second-period goals, while keeping Carolina off the scoreboard.
That’s good news for impartial hockey fans, given how this series has made a habit out of close finishes.
Game 1 is the only matchup so far to end in regulation, but Vegas snatched the win on a goal in the final four minutes of the third period.
Games 2 and 3 were determined by overtime and double-overtime game-winners, respectively, though both games also featured plenty of third-period action and drama.
All that to say – all signs point to another fantastic finish for Game 4.
