Lingering Showers Wednesday Evening, Stormy Thursday
We’re settling back into a stormy weather pattern along the Gulf Coast.
Wednesday’s storms will slowly wind down overnight. Clouds will linger in our skies, making for a warm evening. Temperatures will drop to the mid 70s by Thursday morning.
Your Gulf Coast Weather Most Accurate Forecast says to expect another round of rain Thursday. Scattered downpours will race across the Gulf Coast during the afternoon. The best rain coverage will stay along and east of I-75. The clouds won’t do much for the heat. Temperatures will still peak in the low 90s.
Rain chances will remain high through the rest of the workweek. For the weekend, expect scattered afternoon storms. Saturday will be the better beach day as an onshore wind will drive most of the storms inland.

There’s no relief from the heat with highs stuck in the 90s over the next week.
Tropics:
The National Hurricane Center has marked the southwestern Gulf as an area to watch for tropical development later this week. Remnant energy from Pacific Tropical Storm Cristina could redevelop into a weak tropical depression or storm in the area prior to moving onshore in eastern Mexico by Saturday. Development chances are low, however, at only 10%. Regardless of development, this system poses no threat to Florida.
