PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A company associated with Dolly Parton is seeking to build an entertainment complex that would include an arcade, mini golf course and electric go-kart track.
During Wednesday’s Panama City Beach planning meeting, members discussed a request made by World Choice Investments LLC. The company is asking to build a single-story arcade that would include a mini golf course behind it.
Another building shown in the proposal would showcase a traveling exhibit, like Dolly Parton’s Titanic exhibit.
Officials said the project is still in the very early stages, but board members said they see value in providing activities for families.
“It gives families more things to do activities off the beach whenever it’s raining it gives you things to go play in the arcade. Fantastic opportunity to go play mini golf before going to dinner,” said Josh Wakstein, chair.
The planning board gave its approval of the development Wednesday. The proposal will next go before the city council.
