Laredo residents are invited to showcase their favorite travel memories through photography as Travel Social Club launches a contest that will culminate in a gallery exhibition during July’s CaminARTE art walk.
Participants have until June 26 to submit their entries.
Printed photographs may be dropped off at Dosis Coffee, 7220A Bob Bullock Loop, Suite 105, from noon-2 p.m., or at Encuentros Cafe, 2715 E. Del Mar Blvd., Suite A8, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Selected photographs will be displayed during an exhibit opening July 3 at Casa Ortiz.
According to contest organizers, entries may be submitted in the following categories:
Landscapes and Architecture
Participants may submit up to five printed photographs in sizes 6×8, 8×10 or 11×14. Photos may be framed or unframed.
Each submission must include the photographer’s first and last name, the destination shown in the image and a one-line description attached to the back of the print.
Contest rules prohibit the use of artificial intelligence-generated images. Photographs must be the entrant’s original work and may not contain nudity, drug use or images of minors without consent.
Prizes include an eight-class package from Orangetheory Fitness, two tickets to opening night of “Little Shop of Horrors” at Laredo Theatre Guild International and coffee merchandise and a gift card from Organic Man Coffee Trike.
