BEMIDJI — Work from Kane Goulet is currently on display in an exhibit entitled, “Miikawaadad Wanichigewin — Beautiful Mistake,” at Watermark Art Center, 505 Bemidji Ave. N.
The exhibit is a compilation of abstract paintings and stylized interpretations from Goulet’s experiences and travels, a release said.
“My work begins with the understanding that perfection is unattainable and instead of resisting that, I use it as a starting point,” Goulet said in the release. “At its core, my work celebrates curiosity, enjoyment and the freedom to have fun while making something honest.”
An artist reception is slated for 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at Watermark. Goulet will deliver an artist talk at 2:30 p.m.
