NORFOLK, Va. (WBFF) — It didn’t look that bad, and it didn’t really feel that bad at the time.
But Enrique Bradfield Jr.’s April 2 collision with an outfield wall in Memphis, combined with a painful swing of the bat in Harbor Park’s chilly night air a few weeks later, kept Bradfield out of the Norfolk Tides’ lineup for seven weeks.
Now that he’s back, the speedy outfielder and base-stealing specialist is ready to resume his pursuit of a long-term major league career.
The eighth-ranked prospect in the Orioles organization by MLB.com, Bradfield was playing through the pain caused by the awkward run-in with the wall.
