PHOENIX, Az. (KFDA) – Former Amarillo Sod Poodles pitcher Jose Cabrera made his major league debut with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday, tossing five scoreless innings in his first appearance.
Cabrera allowed three hits and struck out three batters without issuing a walk. He did not allow a home run and finished with a 0.00 ERA.
The right-handed pitcher becomes the latest former Sod Poodle to reach the major leagues after playing in Amarillo.
