The Washington Mystics play the Minnesota Lynx tomorrow evening. I’m doing this a little early today because of the 2026 NBA Draft later tonight, so let’s get to it.

The Mystics have won three games in a row, the last two against championship contenders. And their last win was on the road against the Lynx — the team with the best overall record right now. This is how the locker room reacted when Head Coach Sydney Johnson walked in. Kiki Iriafen even had to hold him up.
Anyway, Iriafen has continued to play like an All-Star, especially now that the Mystics are 8-7 and will LOOK TO BUILD SOME MORE MOMENTUM IN THE PLAYOFF RACE! And duh, Sonia Citron is still playing like the boss she is.
Tomorrow, the Lynx will look to return the favor. They will look to embarrass Washington on their home floor because … they should have beaten Washington on Father’s Day.
The first pick of the 2026 NBA Draft will almost definitely take a train or bus down from New York City to CareFirst Arena sometime Wednesday. This game will likely be the Wizards’ newest franchise player’s first major event … as a Wizard.
