New Voice Of Bucs Selected
June 23rd, 2026

New voice of the Bucs Tony Castricone.

Gene Deckerhoff’s replacement is now on board.

The Bucs selected University of Washington football and basketball play-by-play man Tony Castricone to replace the retired Deckerhoff.

Castricone also was previously the voice of Clemson Tigers.

It appears, per the Bucs release, Castricone won’t be flying ridiculous times commuting from Huskies games to Bucs games. Castricone also will move to Florida and work with the Bucs video production team and make appearances.

Joe had heard through a very reliable national media source the position came down to current Bucs sideline reporter T.J.Rives and Castricone. In the past, Rives called a few Bucs games when Deckerhoff wasn’t available and did a really good job on short notice, which is not easy.”

“This Joe” (and this Joe only) is surprised Rives did not get the job. He’s been a loyal soldier for decades.
