It’s been months since General Hospital fans had laid eyes on longtime favorite Anna Devane. The beloved heroine was last seen in February in a French mental facility, screaming to anyone who would listen that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), a man long dead, was after her. Anna’s family thought she had a mental break, so they left her there to get better, but the audience knows there was nothing really wrong with Anna at all.
Anna Gets the Upper Hand
Last fall, Anna was abducted right out of her car and placed in a comfortable prison room in Wyndemere’s basement. She believed she was in France the entire time because Pascal (Marc Forget) would bring her food and only speak French. By winter, she somehow ended up in France for real, but her appearance there has never been fully explained. Fans only assume that Pascal brought her there.
Anna seems to have had enough time in her French mental health facility to figure out that being calm and playing along is the best idea. On Finola Hughes‘ June 24th return episode as Anna, the former WSB agent told her doctor that she was right, Anna was indeed delusional when she first arrived, but not she knows the error of her ways and wants to get better.

The doctor was so pleased that she allowed Anna to make a phone call back home to Felicia (Kristina Wagner). An excited Felicia and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) made plans to visit Anna the next day, but they could end up with a surprise. Anna is never one to just sit around and not help herself, so it was no surprise that when the doctor left, she pulled out a pile of what appeared to be letters from a drawer.
Anna focused on one letter in particular that could give the audience a clue to what she’s been up to from afar. Has Anna figured out any of the Sidwell-Cullum mystery and just what they did to her last fall?
