Eva Green was rushed to the hospital this week following a frightening leg injury sustained during production of the Netflix blockbuster series, Wednesday.
The French actress is making her first appearance in the Netflix show’s third season, which serves as a spin-off of the beloved ’90s classic horror film, the Addams Family. The on-set accident forced the actress to seek emergency medical attention for the serious injury to her leg.
A source revealed, “This was really nasty. Eva sustained an injury and was clearly in pain and producers were taking no chances. Medics were called in and Eva went to hospital. She underwent treatment [for the injury] and is now recovering well.” This comes as many viewers have issued the same complaint about the narrative direction of the series.

The incident occurred on set near Dublin, where the latest installment of the globally acclaimed series is currently in production.
Filming was temporarily halted while the 45-year-old received medical treatment, with production pushed back until the end of the month to allow adequate time for her recovery.
The actress, who first rose to prominence starring alongside Daniel Craig in his debut Bond film, Casino Royale, expressed her enthusiasm about joining the Wednesday cast.

In the series Green will portray Aunt Ophelia, the enigmatic and seemingly troubled sister of Wednesday’s mother, Morticia Adams. She was confirmed for the role in November 2025. Ophelia’s introduction to the show was hinted at during the final moments of the previous series when she appeared from behind scrawling ‘Wednesday must die’ on a wall.
Wednesday has proven enormously successful for Netflix, establishing itself as one of the most popular and beloved programs on the streaming service globally.

A source said of the series, “Wednesday is a huge priority for Netflix. But since it became such a streaming success, the producers have gone to extraordinary lengths to keep the production secret. The budget for the show is enormous. No expense has been spared in securing huge name actors.”
Each episode of the program, featuring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, reportedly costs approximately £15million ($19,803,750) to produce.
