THIS IS THE NORTHERNMOST AREA. THEY’VE BEEN FOUND SINCE THEY WERE FIRST DISCOVERED IN STOCKTON IN 2024. THE MUSSELS CAN HARM ECOSYSTEMS, FOOD SUPPLY AND CLOG WATER PIPES. OFFICIALS ARE WARNING THE MUSSELS CAN ATTACH TO ALMOST ANY UNDERWATER SURFACE, INCLUDING BOATS THAT COULD HELP IT SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE DELTA. SO THEY’RE URGING VOTER
