Salisbury shooting leaves one dead, one hospitalized

SALISBURY — A shooting at around 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, resulted in one death and one hospitalization. Initial reports from the scene indicate the shooting itself occurred near Bringle Ferry Road and Green Street, but the victims were found at the Han Dee Hugo’s at the corner of East Innes Street and Stokes Ferry Road.
According to Major Travis Schulenberger with the Salisbury Police Department, when law enforcement arrived on the scene, one person was found deceased, and the other was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. A release from the SPD indicates that injuries to the second victim are believed to be non-life-threatening.
No one is currently in custody in connection with the shooting, but the police will continue to investigate the situation. Additionally, the identity of the deceased victim is being withheld until proper family notification.
