CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – The two primary sponsors of the LPGA’s Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G over its five-year history have dropped out, putting the tournament’s future in jeopardy.

Supermarket giant Kroger Co. and consumer products behemoth Procter & Gamble Co., both downtown Cincinnati-based Fortune 500 companies, began sponsorship of the newly created annual tournament with the 2022 event. Both extended their original commitment another two years in 2024. That contract expired with the end of this year’s tournament that ran from May 14-17 at Maketewah Country Club in Bond Hill.

They opted not to renew their sponsorship deal for the event, one of 33 tournaments this year on the LPGA Tour.
