Kinston native Brandon Ingram is on the move again after reports that the Toronto Raptors have agreed to trade the former NBA All-Star to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The deal sends Ingram to Los Angeles in exchange for Kawhi Leonard, who helped lead the Raptors to the 2019 NBA championship.
The Clippers will become the fourth NBA team for Ingram, whose professional career began with the Los Angeles Lakers after he was selected second overall in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Ingram spent one season in Toronto, where he averaged 21.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Tommy Paul advances at Wimbledon
Greenville native Tommy Paul is through to the third round at Wimbledon after defeating South Korea’s Kwon Soon-woo in straight sets Wednesday.
The 21st-seeded Paul won 6-3, 7-6, 6-3, overcoming a second-set tiebreak before closing out the match in the third set.
Paul advances to the third round as he continues his run at the year’s third Grand Slam tournament.
Team USA faces Bosnia and Herzegovina
The United States men’s national team will look to reach the Round of 16 when it faces Bosnia and Herzegovina Wednesday night in the FIFA World Cup Round of 32.
The Americans enter the match with a 3-0-1 all-time record against Bosnia and Herzegovina, with three wins and one draw in the series.
The winner will advance to face either Senegal or Belgium in the Round of 16.
England, Mexico advance
England advanced to the Round of 16 after defeating DR Congo, while Mexico earned its first World Cup knockout-round victory in 40 years with a 2-0 win over Ecuador.
Mexico advances to face England in the next round.
