The Brewers’ righty is 9-3 with a staggering 1.45 ERA in 99 innings pitched. So much for a sophomore slump. But the Reds are more than up for the challenge today by starting Chase Burns. The righty is 9-1 with a 2.36 ERA in 91.2 innings.

It was Mitchell’s fourth hit of the night, and his first RBI, which the Reds couldn’t come back from. It didn’t help when the Brewers got an insurance run when Mitchell came home to score on a wild pitch. Milwaukee scored two runs in the first inning off a groundout and a sac fly. But Cincy came back quickly to tie the game on a two-run homer from Noelvi Marte in the top of the second. The Reds couldn’t score the rest of the game.
