BEMIDJI — Loon Country Arts will offer a variety of free art classes throughout July at the Carnegie Library, 426 Bemidji Ave. N.
All classes are open to youth ages 8-18 unless otherwise noted.
Heather Fadness will lead a “One Color Perspective” watercolor class from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 10. An adult must accompany their child.
Eileen Spilman will teach youth about basket weaving from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17. This class is open to youth ages 10-18; adult attendance is optional.
Urban sketching will be led by Tami Montgomery-Henrikson from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 24. Adult attendance is optional.
Henrikson will then lead a drawing class from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, with adult attendance being optional.
Fadness will teach attendees to make beaded gemstone necklaces from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 30. An adult must attend with their child.
Les Sanders will host the final class from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 31, teaching about watercolor pencil techniques. The class is open to youth ages 10-18, with adult attendance being optional.

Class size is limited to 12 students. Those interested may sign up for two classes, and can indicate interest for other classes on an “alternate list” upon sign-up.
