ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Three new North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services programs are set to help improve rural health care.
According to a news release, starting this fall, the Rural Health Innovation Fund will distribute $20 million annually to upgrade infrastructure.

Also, the Health Information Exchange Connectivity and Training Program will help connect rural health care providers to other providers through NC HealthConnex.
The third new program called the Digital Health Literacy Program is meant to expand digital education, the release said.
