TILLER, Ore. — Visitors to the Umpqua National Forest’s Tiller Ranger District are being urged to stay alert after recent cougar sightings at two popular campgrounds.
The U.S. Forest Service said cougar sightings have been reported at Cover Camp and Three C Rock campgrounds.
The agency offered several safety reminders for anyone recreating in the area: stay aware of your surroundings, keep children and pets close, do not approach wildlife, and report any sightings to the Tiller Ranger District office as soon as possible.
