Coming off a USHL Clark Cup Championship, Prunty joins the NTDP after spending the 2025-26 season with the Sioux Falls Stampede. The defenseman also saw action last season with the U.S. National Under-17 Team and the New Jersey Rockets 16U team.
Committed to the University of Massachusetts (HEA), Prunty played in four games with the U17s during the 2026 Five Nations Tournament, where Team USA finished second with a 3-1-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record.
A native of Lake Hopatcong, N.J., Prunty skated in 44 regular season games with the Stampede and totaled 37 points (4G, 33A), leading all rookie defensemen while ranking eighth among all USHL defensemen and tying for fifth among league rookies in points. His 33 assists were tied for sixth among defensemen, and his 37 points were more than double the total of the next-highest rookie defenseman. Prunty earned USHL Defenseman of the Week honors once and was named to the USHL All-Rookie Team.
In the USHL Playoffs, Prunty appeared in 14 games and led all rookie defensemen with four points (2G, 2A), tying for second among all rookies. He helped the Stampede capture the Clark Cup Championship after the club finished 52-21-5-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL), including a 9-1-4-0 record in the playoffs.
In addition to his time with the NTDP, Prunty has represented Team USA on two other occasions. He competed at the 2025 Under-17 Four Nations Tournament, alongside Mineman, at USA Hockey Arena, recording four points (1G, 3A) in four games as the U.S. finished second. He also helped Team USA win the 2025 World Junior A Challenge championship, tallying four assists in five games.
Prunty attended USA Hockey’s Select 16 Player Development Camp and has also competed in a USA Hockey Youth Nationals tournament.
