Workers on Thursday placed a shroud around the White House’s North Portico as they continued renovating the building’s columns.
The scaffolding around the portico first went up in late June. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, who oversees the National Park Service team leading the work, has said that President Donald Trump personally requested repairs to the columns.
