NATCHEZ — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for an escaped inmate who walked away from a county inmate trash detail earlier today in the Jeanette Road/Springfield area of Adams County.
The escaped inmate has been identified as Houston Tyler Dunson, 46, of Natchez.
Dunson was assigned to a supervised roadside litter detail when he fled from custody. Multiple deputies and law enforcement officers are currently searching the area.
Dunson was being held in jail on charges of sexual battery.
At this time, there is no information indicating that Dunson is armed. However, he should not be approached under any circumstances, said Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten.
