Power outage in Astoria affects 1,200

A vehicle accident caused a power outage affecting the west side of Astoria around 5 p.m. Just over 1,200 people are in the dark, according to Pacific Power.
Crews have arrived on scene but no time has been listed on the power company’s website and the company didn’t immediately respond to calls regarding restoration time.
There are several traffic lights out of commission on Marine Drive starting at Columbia Avenue until at least the roundabout. Power also appears to be out south along Highway 101 until around Tapiola Park.
