Goncalo Inacio of Sporting CP remains a target AC Milan are ready to act on if a sale occurs, according to one journalist.
On Friday night, Milan officially announced the signing of central defender Mario Gila from Lazio on a five-year deal. He is the first addition of the summer to bolster the back line, but he might not be the last, especially if there are sales.

New head coach Ruben Amorim plays with three centre-backs, and if there were to be an exit (or multiple) then more signings would be needed in order to ensure a bit more numerical stability in that area of the field.
Ignacio still on the list
Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com spoke to CalcioNews24 and he confirmed that there is one name above all that Milan seem ready to pounce on if Fikayo Tomori’s sale were to materialise in the coming days and weeks.
“We’ve been keeping Sporting’s Inacio as a contact for the last few weeks, especially if Tomori were to leave and bring in a fee of around €15 million for the Rossoneri,” he said.
“Milan have had several contacts with English clubs, the one that has come forward most concretely is Coventry, but the player has taken his time.
“Despite his respect for Lampard and his respect for a historic club that is returning to the Premier League, he would like to understand if there are opportunities with clubs that are still competing in European competitions.”
In his latest YouTube video, Longo adds that Sporting CP are considering selling Inacio. Contacts have been established in the last few hours between Milan and the Portuguese club, while the player would also be happy to speak with Amorim about the move.
He recently finished his World Cup experience with Portugal and is now on vacation, but his phone is always close by to see if any interesting options will arrive, but he is likely not to be the only option the Rossoneri are considering.
