Throughout the remainder of this summer, the town of Frisco will be holding three free “Pop-Up in the Park” events at the Frisco Historic Park and Museum.
The first event, hosted on Sunday, July 19 from 12-3 p.m., is a picnic featuring two special guests: a donkey and a burro.
Attendees will learn about the role that donkeys and burros played in Summit County’s mining history while enjoying live music by the band Mud Season. Guests should pack their own picnic lunch or snacks to enjoy alongside the animals.
The town will also be hosting two watercolor classes. The first session is for kids and will be held on Sunday, July 26, while the adult session is on Sunday, August 2.
Both the children and adults will paint still portraits, inspired by nature in Frisco. All experience levels are welcomed on both dates.
