When most movie fans think about the most memorable films of the late ’80s and early ’90s, there are a few iconic titles that usually come to mind… and whatever those movies are for you, there’s a good chance that Mary Stuart Masterson had a part in them. From Some Kind of Wonderful to Fried Green Tomatoes to Benny and Joon, this actress has had a truly unforgettable career.

Today, Masterson, who is now 59, looks a lot different — and so does her career. But she’s still acting, and right now, as she’s gearing up for her next big project, she’s sharing updates for her fans on social media.

She looks completely unrecognizable from the way she did in the ’80s, but still every bit as gorgeous.

One of her most recent Instagram posts includes a fresh faced selfie that she shared from her home garden, and fans can’t help but gush over just how timeless her beauty is.

“You seem to become more beautiful with every passing year,” one commenter wrote. “It must be the result of a peaceful soul.”

Another added, “you’re so gorgeous!”

Masterson’s latest updates come on the heels of the announcement of her new project. In July, Deadline reported that Masterson will star in the thriller Pretty Ugly alongside Nicola Peltz, and it has the potential to be a huge movie for her.

Reflecting on the time she spent filming the movie on Instagram, Masterson wrote that she is “so proud to be a part of this film.”

“I had a (rather intense) ball down in Wilmington, NC with the most amazing crew and cast under the truly inspiring direction of Erica Dunton,” she continued. “I will have more to say and share about this magical experience later on.”
