Reflections release final album following mass member exodus

Reflections have released their final studio album, Crystal Eyes.

The 10-song effort features material written and recorded between 2020 and 2026. Its finality follows the internal turmoil that surfaced earlier this year within the Minnesota progressive metalcore outfit.

In January, guitarist/primary songwriter Patrick “Patty” Somoulay and bassist Francis Xayana both exited the band amid tensions with vocalist Jake Wolf. In their respective statements, the pair cited Wolf’s support of ICE, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as a key factor in their decision to leave.

Xayana also claimed at the time that Wolf had control of the band. Credits for Crystal Eyes list additional guitar work from Elliot Merriman, Wolf, and Josh Solvedt, alongside parts recorded by Somoulay.

Drums on the album were handled by Wolf, Nick Lona, and Merriman.
