Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Huskies are in a quiet period for recruiting with the coaches on break before they get ready for the season to start. Today I wanted to showcase some current commits that have been having strong summers with their high school and 7v7 teams this summer.
4 star wide receiver Tre Moore from Pflugerville Weiss HS, TX continues to showcase his size and physicality this offseason with his HS team. Listed at 6’3” and around 200 pounds Moore has ability to come in and play right away next year. Husky fans should be excited to see Moore over the coming months and when he enrolls on Montlake (I am especially excited to see him in the P&G).
At the battle of the beach down in California 3 star safety Isala Aisa Wiley-Ava showcased his ability to be an elite safety at the next level. Listed at 6’2” and around 195 pounds most people think Wiley-Ava will slot into a in the box safety as his strong suit in college, however Wiley-Ava has the speed to be able to track down balls on the back half of the defense and be an above average coverage safety in college for coach Walters defense. This season will be a fun one to watch for him and I suspect he will have another strong year in the trinity league.
As we head into the season we will start to see some more movement in the recruiting class with some visitors likely heading to campus (with 24 commits in the class the Huskies will likely want to add 2-3 commits in the class, and last weekend I detailed out some flip candidates to watch). The current 2027 commit list is very strong and there are several of the commits whose ranking is somewhat low relative to their production and we should see some climbs in the rankings over the coming months as well. That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
